See more. True Special Edition. Spandau Ballet. True is the third studio album by the English new wave band Spandau Ballet. It was released on 4 March on Chrysalis Records. It was also Spandau Ballet's first album to be recorded outside of London. Other singles from the album included "Gold", "Lifeline", "Communication", and "Pleasure".
Later album releases by the band never equalled the success of True. A remastered version of "True" was released on 3 July to commemorate its 20th anniversary. Mykorrhiza - Shattered Dreams was re-released as a single CD with the original eight tracks along with the music video for "Gold" and some home video footage of the band.

Unlike most albums that contain one strong single surrounded by duds, World Machine has more than its share of fine Its Over (Remix) - Level 42 - Running In The Family (Platinum Edition) . The jazzy, upbeat title track is one of the band's finest moments, the should've-been-a-hit "Leaving Me Now" Its Over (Remix) - Level 42 - Running In The Family (Platinum Edition) an effective ballad, and The Fall - Gretchen Lieberum - Siren Songs midtempo "Good Man in a Storm" is catchy and thought-provoking.
While not perfect -- "Physical Presence" drags, and "It's Not the Same for Us" is a bit too cutesy for its own good -- World Machine is the most successful album in Level 42's career, both in terms of sales and quality. This album is notable for being the first live album by Level 42, and for containing a previously unreleased song Its Over (Remix) - Level 42 - Running In The Family (Platinum Edition) a live recording of a non-LP track".
Also, the first track starts with a taped intro which quotes "Hot Water". Originally issued in the UK as a two-album set and long-play cassette, the version issued on CD consisted of a single disc, omitting three tracks. Those tracks were restored when the remastered version of the album was issued in a two-CD set in True Colours Expanded Version.
